You will find two fresh water swimming pools, a diving pool, a solarium-terrace, a gym, sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and the “Renova Spa” wellness centre. Although we stayed at the Riu Cancun, I visited the Riu Caribe briefly to have a look around. We have a choice between the Riu Palace Peninsula and the Riu Cancun. I had people I met that came over from the Caribe as they dont have a sports bar and there daily pool activites are way lacking vs the Riu Cancun.

Book the Riu Cancun, I can tell you first hand that the pools are nicer as they just finished a huge reno there. Paradisus Cancun and Hotel Riu Caribe are both endorsed by professional reviewers. On balance, Paradisus Cancun is preferred by most writers compared to Hotel Riu Caribe. Better beach? Both were very accomidating. Gonna be in Cancun from December 22-26th for Christmas.

We are an early 30's married, hangs out in the 25-35 yr old crowd, loves a little bit of posh feel to a hotel but definitely still enjoys the nightlife. This complex includes all the facilities you could need for a perfect stay. While you can visit and use the faciilities of the Oasis Cancun when you stay at the Grand Oasis, I would rather be at the Riu Caribe and be able to visit the Riu Cancun, which I believe one can do. We have narrowed our choices down to the Riu Cancun and Riu Caribe. Thanks for any help you can give.
